Jaz Up Your Fridays

Wp09novchalenge1-1

Hello again to all ;)

I am sharing a project that started life from a can. I love altered art and I am always on the lookout for fun items to re-create them into pieces that I can decorate them in any rooms in the home.

For this project, I used an empty can. After pouring out the contents, I filled it up with small pebbles so that it is heavy enough to hold this project. I covered up the can with patternend papers and then I used a pair of disposable chopstick to hold up the little birdy ;) I had fun embellishing it up with gorgeous stuffs from K&Cos and Webster' s Pages. And the beautiful flowers are, of course, from Prima ;) You can get all these lovely products from Laine's Papeterie.

This is also a November Project Challenge that I am hosting at Webster's Pages.I hope you will have fun creating your project ;)

Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep. Scott Adams

Blessed friday to all.

Love,

jaz

Thursday Toots with Sharon

Those of you who have been scrapbooking for a while would totally appreciate the little details that are lovingly crafted into each page.  So this week I thought I'd pick out 3 layouts from Ed's Multi-photo challenge with clever details that caught my eye.

"Seasons" by aamummy - just look at the amount of detail on this one!  from rub ons (or is it stamping) on the teal chipboard flowers, to floral rub ons, to tiny babies breath to delicate butterflies....wow! Wouldn't you love to have a look (and a gentle touch) at the real thing up close

"Big Baaaad Wolf" by bigeyes - I love how each photo has a unique frame, and the lacey border strip along the bottom.  Best of all, I love the journaling! Such a happy happy page!!!

"I Love Japanese Food" by Tinkerbell - Don't you love her choice of stamps that match perfectly with the topic. and all the individual stickers with all those very apt sayings?  My favourite is "never eat more than you can lift".

I love Japanese food_tinkerbell

I'm looking forward to tooting more new layouts next week, so keep 'em coming!  And did I mention you get a free gift for submitting?
